The Kindergarten dictionary is an intentional component of instruction, which encourages students to build vocabulary overtime. When key vocabulary words are introduced each student adds the word to his or her own Kindergarten dictionary to take home at the end of the year. Throughout the school year, students use the dictionary along with the classroom word wall to remember words learned and to help with spelling.
Parent/guardian permission is granted for the student displayed in the series of images above.
