The fourth grade students in the image above are participating in the water quality field trips series. During these field trips, students learned about the importance of keeping our harbor clean and healthy, and how to individually and collectively advocate for a healthy and clean harbor. Throughout the course of this field trip series students grew as conscious and environmentally literate citizens of Baltimore City gaining vocabulary, appreciation, and tools to help protect and sustain our Chesapeake Bay Watershed.

Student growth is a central component of teaching. To ensure student growth I incorporate access, advocacy, habits and mindsets, and dramatic academic growth into my teaching. As a growing educator, I hold high expectations for myself and my students.
